Monthly Newsletter
Our monthly newsletter highlights various opportunities accessible to every student in Hong Kong. We sent the first edition of the monthly digital newsletter to every secondary school in Hong Kong to broaden our exposure. It is hoped that our effort will help students reach their goals by gaining access to educational opportunities that would be beneficial to their academic and personal development. The newsletter is available in both Chinese and English and will be sent to subscribers on 15th every month (tentatively) via email.
Internship Programs
OIHK collaborates with different companies and non-governmental organizations to provide free work placement opportunities to secondary students. Currently, we are collaborating with Scleroderma United a NGO founded by a Havard student to provide a free medicine internship opportunity for aspiring medicine students of the OIHK Instagram community. Support Programme for Underprivileged Children
We will organize a homework support workshop series for primary students in collaboration with other student organizations or non-governmental organizations. This programme will help primary students who need extra educational support after school due to financial difficulties or other reasons connect with secondary school mentors who will help them consolidate what they have learned in class. Primary Students English Learning Hub
We are planning to organize an English learning programme for local primary students with limited exposure to English or those who require extra learning support on this subject. We are planning to collaborate with 1-2 local primary schools on this project this year to boost students’ confidence in expressing themselves in English and discovering the fun side of learning English through interactive quizzes, casual conversations, and interesting reading exercises.
